Hi there! :) So this is my story... Im 16 almost 17 this November and Im embarrassed to say that I still don't have girlfriend :( I mean Im not ugly or something just the opposite Im cute popular wear cool clothes and stuff. I think the idea of people being defenseless (women, children, etc) is stupid since the human body can be a weapon is someone throws a punch or kicks a leg so that someone trips. Not carrying a firearm doesn't mean a person doesn't have a lethal means of inflicting pain or physical damage. Anything can be a weapon if it is thrust forward with enough speed and makes a firm enough impact on the human body, be it a fist or a baseball or a penny or a tree branch. So in that sense there are potential weapons all over the place. They're not solely metallic (a.k.a. guns, knives, swords). They can be wooden or glass (cracked beer bottles) or even the human body can be a lethal weapon (connecting on enough punches and kicks that someone dies or wrapping the arms around someone's neck so that her or she has all the oxygen choked out of them. Even water can be a weapon. A person can die from not drinking enough of it (thirst) or of being suffocated with it (drowning). Funny how we can't breathe in it, yet it makes up most of our body and we must drink it or we die. So in that sense even water can be a helper or a harmer to humans.

Do I have a bruised sternum??? Or worse?

I got punched very hard two days ago in my sternum. It knocked the wind out of me, and someone near by said they heard it, although I don't think there was a noise. It became really tender to touch and hurts to take deep breaths, laugh, or anything that causes my chest to move too much. Some breaths are really bad at times. It hurts the worst when I wake up in the morning, or when I am forced to take really deep breaths. There is nothing visible that something is wrong. Today it hurts the worst, and I don't know if it will get worse, and it can hurt more depending on my posture. The pain seems as if it is more constant today then the last few days, and more painful for basic breathing.

I am having a hard time finding much online about this topic. I will most likely be going to the doctor about this, but i want to know whats going on now and how long it takes to heal and what to expect and if there is anything I can do to help it heal.

And can it be worse? Could it be broken? Any websites or discussions on this topic would be great!
And what will a doctor do when I go???

Questions about neutering? Why should I/shouldn't I ?

My puppy is getting older and I have been thinking about neutering. I am not a breeder and I know this would be beneficial in a lot of ways to most dogs such as controlling pet population, keeping a dog from straying, no chance of prostate cancer, etc..but I'm wondering if there's really any benefit for my dog. I live in an apartment, so no chance of my dog wandering to knock up the neighborhood bitches in heat. He's my only dog so no worries of him tying with any of my pets. I am a responsible owner and would never leave him unattended with an unaltered female. I have talked with my vet about this so I know a little about the pros/cons, and yes I know there are thousands of dogs dying in shelters, I'm not going to breed him, please no lectures about that.. I ONLY want to hear from dog owners who have had their dog since he was a puppy, then got him neutered. Did his personality change? Did he physically change? Weight gain? Energy gain/loss? Did he stop marking? How long was recovery time and was it hard to care for him after the surgery? Things like that. Thanks in advance
I am leaning towards not neutering right now, simply because I just don't have a real reason to do it. My puppy is a humper, but I'm confident I can train him out of it. If he begins to mark, I could also train him out of it. I have researched this a lot and I don't want to feed my dog less because his metabolism slows after he's neutered, and I don't want to have this drastic surgery done on my dog. Also, I'm not sold on the whole "neuter your dog and he'll have less health issues"

Bare Nekkid TRUTH!- There are only 3 units in my building, one of the other tenants has an older male dog who is rarely in the apartment, and the other tenant has no dogs.

UHave2BeKiddingMe- Thank you for the links and information. My first instinct was, not neuter..I don't have any reason to. But then I heard all the hype from the pro neuter/spay crowd, and felt like I'd be doing the world, and my dog a favor by neutering. You are so right, they don't tell you the negatives at all. I will continue to research and check back on any new opinions, but I'm still pretty set on not neutering. I don't want to hurt my dog because of someone else's problem, I want him to live as long and as happy/healthy as possible.

If I have used a candle (virgin, anointed, carved intentions etc) for a spell, and I extinguish the flame (I can't leave these candles burning all day, they're too big.) can I re-use them? Not for spells, but for aroma and atmosphere? TBH it seems like a huge waste of money if I have to throw it away and it's not exactly the most efficient idea either. I am thinking about selling my cutting horse mare, but not ready just yet. As soon as I brought up selling her my mom got all excited and happy, and now insists we sell her. It's really making me sick, but anyway. I cut on this horse in coast shows, and won a LITTLE on her, nothing big at all since most of the time I was just working and never got to show. I did everything with this mare, from her stall work, to her riding, to her cleaning. My parents paid for the hay, and the boarding, and they did buy her for 10k at the start, but with my grandpa's will money. Now my mother is insisting that she gets half the pay now that we are "selling her", when now I do not even want to sell her because my mom is only looking at this as a money opportunity. She gets a new haircut and tries to adapt to the modern world, modern language, quicker walking, technology....

I know it's probably been done before but the book before I fall is basically groundhog day but at school, and it's still such a great book, even though the story has been written and made into a film.

I did not recieve an increase on my next policy but the most recent one has gone up $700 per six months. I am now paying 1650 every 3 months. I have been insured with them for 3 years, i did minor damage to their car, about 4k worth to mine, there were no injuries, i did not receive a ticket with any points. It is a 2007 chevy cobalt that i own with approx 30k miles. I have had my license since i was 17 and have not been in any accidents or received any tickets prior to this accident. Self-Employment Tax Problem?

We have filed standard taxes for years with no issue at all. This year, we began receiving paperwork from the IRS for a "self-employment" tax. I'm not sure what to do.

The return in question was 2008. I tried the "work online" job boards in 2008 and made around $1200 for the entire year, it was a failure to say the least. I researched my taxes that year and found if I made over $400 a month, I had to file, but my tax preparer said not to bother if it was under $800 because I wouldn't be able to pay taxes on an amount less than that. My average was $50 to $200 a month. I never received any paperwork from the online company or anything. Everything was done via the internet. I quit after that year.

Now, 2 years later, the IRS is stating I owe $600 in self-employment taxes. I didn't make, but $1200 for the entire year. I worked part-time years ago and made around $400-$500 per month, again my preparer wouldn't use my forms, she said there was no taxes taken out and not enough to make a difference. There was never an issue from it.

I don't understand why it would make a difference now. Our yearly income is around $19K. We have an autistic child and I can't work, I need to be able to go to school when they need me. I don't understand how $1200 can make any kind of difference.

I don't know where to go. A friend of mine lives in the next state and the IRS has declared they overpaid them $1K when they didn't. They make much less than we do annually. Are there any resources for low income families when it comes to IRS problems?

I made great advances in Photoshop, but plain ole mouse is reaching its limitations.. Will a pen tablet widen my horizon, and make more precise editing? I am not a artist, did dabble a little in sketching. I guess the most inportant question is, does a pen tablet size matter? Would you agree that "real men" don't hate women but also that?

"real men" don't view women as their equals either? It seems to me most of the hatred that men display toward women is more resentment and disappointment for them not pulling their share. Or from them wanting/expecting preferential treatment. Do you think "real men" are not bothered as much (or at all) because they accept women as inferior, and don't hold them to those higher standards they are not capable to reach?

I dont really know spanish and she knows this. She got drunk and pissed me off so before I go off on her because she knows i dont like it when she speaks spanish to me i would like to know what it means.

as part of the coursework for my english gcse, we have to write a piece of creative writing, i.e a story, but we have to use SUSPENSE. what kind of topics could i do involving suspense?
just a few brainstorming ideas would be great. P.S please try and steer away from the 'horror story' idea, as most people in my class are basing their story on a scary one, and i want mine to stand out from the others!

I bought this mattress for my daughter due in a few weeks. Somehow the sticker came off. I can't remember what side is the infant side with the most coils and the toddler side, and they both feel really firm to me. I checked Simmons website and it doesn't say which is which, one review on babies'r us site says quilted is the softer toddler side.
Does anyone know?

Like my 10 year old son. To me he is refreshingly honest. You don't want to ask his opinion if you are not ready for his honest one.

I once asked here about him telling the doctor that his breath smelled. Most said my son was rude and he should have tried a "nicer" approach. I talked to my son and he said "mom saying it nicer doesn't make it nicer" and he was right.

So does your child have something they do or about them that others might find annoying, rude, etc but you like it, and hope they keep that side of them?

Is this dangerous in any way?

I have had issues with my lungs since birth, but have got really bad from April of this year. Each time it has happened I have been put on Prednisolone (Steroids) to calm it down. It has happened 7 times since April, I have been admitted to hospital then when discharged it has been calm for a certain amount of time then it sparks faster and faster each time since the first in April, The first time it took months to come back, then weeks, now days. Can someone give me a decent opinion? Its been put down as a chest inpection most times, then pnuemonia twice, one time i had a cardiac arrest with my heartrate up to 140. Heartrate was lowest average of 110-130 when calm.
The problem has been Struggling to breath, tighness in my chest, coughin and a lot of wheezing
